The Russian International trade fair for home textiles, floor coverings and interior furnishings took place in Moscow on 17-19 September, 2019 and welcomed more than 200 companies from 17 countries this year. This year, 221 companies from 17 countries and 12,140 visitors from all regions of Russia and the CIS met at the grounds of the fair. The number of visitors exceeded the last year result by 7 percent. Traditionally, representatives of the textile industry from all over Russia come to Heimtextil Russia, and the share of regional visitors this year came to 44 percent.

Textiles from around the world
Ministries and Textile Associations of Germany, India, China, Pakistan, Portugal and Turkey supported 6 national pavilions. It is worth noting a significant increase in the number of companies that present products for the contract business at their booths.

For retailers and wholesale buyers who are interested in high-volume purchases, Heimtextil Russia has become an opportunity to find a wide selection of suppliers from Russia, Europe and Asia who are ready to supply large volumes of fabrics and finished products.

Heimtextil Russia 2019 special events took place with a full house
In addition to the international exposition, the rich fringe program of Heimtextil Russia has become a real center of attraction for representatives of wholesale, retail trade, designers, decorators, hoteliers, restaurateurs. The fringe program involved 3 lecture areas, 51 speaker and 40 lectures, seminars and practical workshops.

A whole galaxy of famous designers, architects and creators of world brands from Europe and Russia performed in Design Space lecture area: French designer Fabrice Ausset, German architect Peter Ippolito, Dutch trend-master, stylist Milou Ket, Christian Fischbacher, Export Director of Christian Fischbacher; Olivier Delhomme, Art Director of the Belgian company FR-One, Russian designer Yana Svetlova, creator of Yana Svetlova Wallcoverings brand and others. Italian designer Wanda Jelmini enchanted the audience with an exciting presentation about creating a collection of home and interior textiles of the legendary brand Missoni Home.

Also in Design Space lecture area Textile Expert Club “Avangard” brought together textile market players for a constructive dialogue as a part of the talk show “Are there stars in the textile world? Craftsmanship or creativity?”. Discussion moderators Galina Lugina and Tatyana Chernykh (Founders of TEC “Avangard”) raised urgent issues of concern for textile designers. The discussion participants unanimously agreed that an independent discussion platform is an important component in the development of the profession of a textile decorator.

Speeches in Business Space lecture area were topical for representatives of wholesale and retail trade, furniture business, as well as professionals of the window decoration industry. Official partner of the trade fair, WilliZ portal conducted an intensive program of business lectures, followed by a buyers’ tour in the National pavilion of China.

Round table for hospitality professionals also took place in Business Space lecture area. The round table was moderated by Tatiana Kibireva, President of First Club for Hospitality Professionals. Representatives of Treartex, TOGAS, IKEA, Amax companies, Renaissance Moscow Monarch Center hotel, Golden Ring hotel, Barvikha clinical sanatorium, Second Breath charity foundation became the discussion participants.

Creative Space workshop became a center of attraction for those who wanted not only to listen to the teachers from the leading design schools and industry experts, but also to become a part of practical workshops on sketching, creation of moodboards, textile compositions, etc.

In Heimtextil Russia Trend Gallery well-known brands of fabrics, wallpaper, paints and decor items have demonstrated their vision of the trends for the coming season. Espocada, Manders, Designers Guild, Missoni Home, Mobillissimi, Arben, Amigo used the latest collections of interior fabrics and decor items in their installations. The installation aroused great interest among guests and exhibitors. “Heimtextil Russia is one of the most important exhibitions in the industry, people come very focused and interested, especially from other cities and regions of Russia,” said Gayane Kazaryan, PR Director of Manders, Partner of Trend Gallery.
