Karastan is spotlighting a new programme designed to help interior designers navigate its vast rug offering and better service their clientele. Design Concepts features 10 collections – 440 stocking sizes plus custom sizes – ranging in various price points and materials. Collections include rugs crafted of New Zealand wool, stain-resistant Smart Strand and combinations of these two top-selling fibres within Karastan’s line.

The goal is to offer small design firms a more convenient way to shop and the ability to purchase Karastan products directly within the company’s various showrooms nationwide. “Because we are such a large company, smaller interior design firms can feel intimidated when trying to do business with us during markets, but I think we have come up with a way to put Karastan at the forefront of designer service,” explained Erika Banks, Product Director at Mohawk Home.

“On the heels of the success of Pinterest, we’re seeing an uptick in the number of boutique designers coming through our market showrooms, all working on curated projects for their clients,” she added. Karastan unveiled the programme this summer during Las Vegas Market. It was well received by West Coast-based designers and decorators, and now Karastan wants to bring it to High Point Market’s designer community.
