A new designer celebrity partnership is casting sunshine across Saturday Knight Ltd.’s line this season. The home textiles supplier has aligned with HGTV and TLC star Vern Yip to offer its customers a fresh perspective on home décor.

“We were looking for something different from what we already do, which is very traditional and coordinate-driven. Vern offers a more modern take than we normally present, and brings another point of view to our line,” said Jaimee Groves, SKL’s Director of sourcing and global supply chain. “My favourite thing he said that he is looking to do with this new collection is to bring our customers joy. He wants to make sure the products offer the best quality and design, that each piece is well represented at the store level,” she added.

Spanning the bath co-ordinates, table linens and kitchen textiles categories, the new Vern Yip Collection by Saturday Knight Ltd. will debut at New York Home Fashions Market recently and encompasses: Bath: Towels, rugs, shower curtains and accessories; Table: Placemats, napkins, runners and napkin rings; Kitchen: Towels and rugs.

The portfolio includes both looks for everyday use as well as holiday decorating. The timing of his new home collection debut – which represents Yip’s foray into home textiles from his fabric programme with Fabricut – is in line with his return to two TV makeover shows. After a 10-year hiatus, TLC’s “Trading Spaces” and “While You Were Out” programmesre launched recently on both Discovery Network channels as well as HGTV. They feature Yip among the celeb designer hosts.
